Descripción

This wonderful, beautifully aged older restoration has an interesting history. The Morris 2 Seater Tourer with Dickey was once owned by Captain Ian McLeod, a colleague and friend of Colin Chapman, Mike Hawthorne and Jim Clarke. During his ownership, along with many other improvements he fitted a supercharger for increased performance (no longer fitted to the car) and the car was the subject of a number of articles in the Bullnose Club Magazine.

During the early 2000's the Morris was completely rebuilt, named Ferdinand, the Bullnose was completed over a ten year period. The body was removed from the chassis, the chassis then sandblasted as were steering components. The gearbox was dismantled and re-built, a lightened flywheel fitted, and the engine stripped and rebuilt with high compression pistons, re-ground crankshaft and new big end and small bearings. A new clutch was fitted, many ancillaries overhauled to include the magneto and dynastart. A new hood and screens were fitted by London Trimming Co and the Morris totally re-painted.

Delightfully aged and full of charm, on the road the Morris is very good indeed. The engine feels superb with good oil pressure, the gearbox is impressive, as is the rear axle and it brakes and steers as expected on this system. Over the past four years the Morris has covered around 250 miles, mainly attending shows and events. Ahead of delivery to its new owner, the Bullnose will be freshly serviced and ready to be enjoyed.
