1986 | Mercedes-Benz 300 SL

This stunning, 38,550 miles from new Thistle Green Mercedes Benz 300SL was first registered on the Isle of Man in 1986 where it stayed until 2012 covering low annual mileage. This very original car was ordered with a high specification to include rear seats, heated seats, and air-conditioning, and has been beautifully kept over the past 39 years.

The SL was sold to one of our customers in 2017 with 37200 miles and the SL was fitted with a new set of tyres and stainless steel exhaust system. The owner at the time also paid for the air-conditioning system to be re-conditioned, new rear suspension coils and oil and filter change. The Mercedes Benz covered less than 1500 miles over five years and sold soon after arrival with us in 2022. We supplied the SL to one of our long term regular clients in Masham who has covered just 100 miles over the last three years and is now ready for a change.





The car is typical of a small island car, its covered low mileage, and having never had a hard life, it's been kept in beautifully presented condition right throughout its life. The Thistle Green paintwork is of an excellent standard, the panels are first class and the underbody incredibly clean and well presented. The engine bay is exceptional, the original upholstery beautiful and the engine bay and boot compartment are incredibly clean and sharp.










On the road the 300SL will not disappoint, this is a superb long distance touring car with power, performance, and luxury in abundance. The SL handles perfectly, is tight and precise with excellent road holding as you would expect from a low mileage, well maintained, correct and original car. As expected with a high-quality example like this, it comes with both hard and soft top in very good condition.
