Descripción

This is the second time we have this beautiful 300 SEL in our portfolio. We imported it from Spain 9 years ago and sold it to its current owner in June 2016. The current owner has now sold off his collection and given the vehicle to us for sale. It is very original and has always been serviced in specialist workshops. The body is rust-free, the entire interior is still original and has a beautiful patina. The technology works excellently, the engine runs very well, the gearbox shifts well, the air suspension works as it should and has been sealed for weeks. We have carried out a service, adjusted the engine and gearbox, repaired the air suspension, installed a new radiator and cosmetically prepared the car. So it will bring joy to its new owner again. It has its on-board folder and logbooks, 3 keys, the original on-board tools and the spare tire. In the future it will need a caring hand for the final details.

The Mercedes-Benz W109 was a luxury model from Mercedes-Benz and was in production from 1965 to 1972. All W109s had air suspension, which corresponded to that of the Mercedes 600. In August 1965, a new generation of the luxury class was presented with the 250 S, 250 SE and 300 SE models, which were to succeed the tailfin models W111 and W112 (220 Sb, 220 SEb, 300 SE). All three models had a body designed by Paul Bracq, whose clear lines dispensed with fashionable accessories and whose understated elegance still appears timeless today. The W108/W109 series has disc brakes all around, an advanced detail compared to many other contemporary automobiles. Production of the overall very successful series ended in September 1972. The successors were the "S-Class" models of the W116 series. The W109.016 with the 2.8l 6-cylinder engine replaced the 3.0l aluminum engine, as this was more expensive and complex to produce and use. The 10 hp increase in power compared to the 280 SE Coupes was achieved, as in the 280 SL Pagoda, by using a different camshaft and an adapted injection pump.
