A stunning XK150 that began its life as a Fixed-head coupé and during its lifetime was converted into a Drop-head coupé by a passionate enthusiast in collaboration with skilled specialists. In other words, it was transformed from a coupé to a convertible. A beautifully executed conversion as well.

The XK150 marked the grand finale of the XK series. What started with the XK120 progressed through the XK140 to the final model of this series. Instantly recognizable by the curved windshield around the sides and the higher-set waistline, which was in line with the trend of that era. The market demanded a car that visually moved away from the 'loose bumpers' of the previous models. With the higher waistline, the car acquired a more modern appearance in order to remain relevant for another era.

The XK150 we present here is an exceptionally beautiful specimen. Fully restored and with matching numbers, as confirmed by the Jaguar Heritage Certificate. This exquisite XK150 was delivered on November 22, 1957, to Jaguar Cars in New York. The car, equipped with the rarely offered five-speed gearbox, enjoyed a pleasant life. Once in Europe, it only got better and came into the hands of enthusiasts. The XK was completely restored to the highest level, stripped down to the bare bones, with photos available to attest to this process. A splendid body, a very handsome interior, and an engine compartment so immaculate that you could figuratively eat off it, bear witness to this feat. The coupé was transformed into an open XK150 in a way that makes this conversion imperceptible.

Starting with the body: it impresses with exceptionally smooth sheet metal and a beautifully applied paint finish. The silver-gray paint not only suits the Jaguar very stylishly, but it's clear that it was applied by professionals with top-quality results in mind, and that excellence has clearly been achieved. Panel gaps are extremely tight, body lines are very refined, and details such as its doors, bonnet and boot lid close beautifully displaying uniform gaps when shut. The abundance of chrome is just as stunning and merits a concours condition description '. Very handsome wire wheels complete the exterior celebration.

The interior of the XK is exquisite. The seats, upholstered in high-quality, supple leather, are in a beautiful condition, exhibiting a very light patina. Leather tends to look its best when it has been gently used, as is the case here. There is no sign of wear; rather, the leather shows that it has been sparingly enjoyed. The rest of the interior appears practically new, featuring a dashboard with equally elegant leather finishes and stylish Smiths instruments. All controls are in very fine condition and fully functional. The handsome, large four-spoke steering wheel and the gearshift operating the rare five-speed gearbox invites you to embark on many long journeys. A period-correct yet modern-looking radio provides the option to listen to your favourite music.

The 3.4-liter inline-six engine has not only been completely overhauled but also exceptionally well maintained. Thanks to that meticulous care, which extended beyond just the engine, the XK150 drives impeccably. Each classic car feels distinct, and even vehicles of the same model drive differently. This XK150 falls into the category of 'as it should be'. The engine sounds and runs beautifully, allowing the power to be harnessed willingly and the power plant responding dynamically to commands given through the throttle pedal. However, driving pleasure extends beyond just the engine, and fortunately, we can add that the suspension is also in excellent condition. The XK150 still provides the driver with the sensation of piloting a true sports car. Thanks in part to the improved brakes and suspension, the XK150 is an exceptionally enjoyable touring and handling car.

Even from underneath the car on a bridge it looks impressive, displaying a clean underside devoid of rust, residue, or any undesirable elements. Truly a car that is spot on from A to Z.
