1959 Jaguar XK150SE overdrive 3.8 Litre Drop head Coupe RHD
Chassis number: S824643DN
Registration Number: ODB900
Nut & bolt restored to as new by Marque Specialists Leaping Cats. Since then this car has covered a scant 127 shakedown miles.
The exterior paint is flawless carmine red. To the interior is beige leather & beige carpets along with a correct grey leather dash board insert. A black mohair hood completes the car which is easily lowered after releasing 2 over centre clips to the front of the lined hood. Power steering has been added for ease of use by the octogenarian owner. The car sits on brand new chrome wire wheels with knock off spinners & is disc brake equipped to the front. Underneath the car is as good as it is on top looking simply brand new. The motor starts instantly & settles down to an even idle with a slight induction roar when the thottle is depressed & all the right noises coming from the fully rebuilt twin cam engine. The rebult original Moss gear box is a pleasure to use with ecellent synchromesh on all gears.
This car was selected & built to be a last comfortable classic car for the current owner who is now about to turn 80 & is divesting himself of assorted posessions. To achieve this he sourced an orignal solid 3.8 Litre FHC with overdrive & sent it off to be remanufactured to like new in the stunning condition we find it in today & without regard to cost. Old age & lack of mobility mean the car is coming to market with just 127 shakedown miles covered. The old Motolita steering wheel in the car was left in situ & a brand new Moto Lita item comes with the car ready for the new owner to install. The DN in the chassis number tells us that it was an overdrive car from new & the S prefix designates it as being a special equipmnet model.
Not much more need be said as perfection needs but few words. I have rarely seen a better one & simply cash amounts of money have been spent upon the car to bring it up to this standard. Viewings are by appointment in Alderly Edge south of Manchester.
