Introduction

The Jaguar XK150 models were introduced in 1957 as successor to the XK140. Initially only the coupé and drophead versions were available, but in 1958 the OTS (Open Two Seater) model was made available. The basic 3.4 Litre engine with twin carburettors produced 190 BHP, but the triple carburettor S version was tuned to a healthy 250 BHP making it possible to attain a top speed of 212 km/h and a 0-100 in 7.8 seconds which was incredibly fast 65 years ago. The car was also fitted with disc brakes all around, with enough stopping power for those speeds. The 3.4S OTS version was available from 1958 to 1960, but only a total of 846 were made in LHD, the majority of which were exported to the USA.

This Jaguar XK150 OTS 3.4S was first registered in December 1958 in New Jersey (USA). Apart from the in the Heritage Certificate mentioned name of the first owner, not much is known of its early history, but in 1999 the car found its way back to Europe. Having been registered in Holland in 2005 it became part of the “Gentleman Collection” in 2017. Finished in a very dark Blue with a Red leather interior this particular example is fitted with the desirable manual 4-speed gearbox with overdrive. A Brantz Tripmeter mounted to the dashboard makes the car ready for a next rally adventure for a new owner.
