The provisional 330 America was replaced in January 1964 by the new 330 GT 2+2. This was first shown at the Brussels Show early that year. It was much more than a 250, however, with a new engine, featuring a sharper nose and tail, quad headlights and a wide grille. Power remained the same at 300 hp (220 kW). The wheelbase was 50 mm (2.0 in) longer, but Koni adjustable shock absorbers improved handling. A dual-circuit Dunlop braking system was used with discs all round, although the brakes were split front to rear rather than diagonally as in modern systems. When leaving the factory, the 330 GT were originally fitted with Pirelli Cinturato 205VR15 (CN72) tyres.

The 1965 Series II version had a five-speed gearbox instead of the previous year's four-speed with overdrive. Other changes included a switch back to a dual-light rather than quad-light front end, alloy wheels and the addition of optional air conditioning and power steering. Before the introduction of the 'Series II' 330 GTs, a series of 125 'interim' cars were produced, with the quad-headlight external configuration of the Series I cars but with the five-speed gearbox and 'suspended' foot pedals of the 'Series II' cars.

625 Series I (including 125 'interim' cars) and 455 Series II 330 GT 2+2 cars had been built when the car was replaced by the 365 GT 2+2 in 1967. Production of the smaller 330 GTC and GTS models overlapped with the GT 2+2 for over a year.

This Ferrari 330 GT was delivered to the USA in 1965 and sold by Luigi Chinetti Motors, Inc. Originally this car had a red leather upholstery and four headlights of the Series 1. During the complete restoration of this car this was changed to beige upholstery and the four headlights were brought back to two. The color of the car is Argento Metallizzato.

In 2011 the car comes to the Netherlands and is then completely restored. Many photos of this are available and on a CD. We bought the car last summer. It is a full matching number car and the condition it is in is beautiful.

We have a valuation report and many restoration manuals. This very chic Ferrari with only 45,129 miles looks very good in its color silver metallic with beige leather and is a picture for every Ferrari enthusiast.
