American manufacturer Everett-Morrison Motorcars is one of the world's most renowned cobra replica manufacturers with a 40-year history. Under their official EM 427 SC Replicas badge, these ‘cobras’ are not intended to be mere copies, but functional, well-finished and usable vehicles, while retaining the hardened steel character of their model.

Put on the road in January 1988 and with an unguaranteed mileage of 2106 kilometers, our vehicle is in perfect condition. Importantly, our vehicle is registered in France as a classic vehicle and therefore has an FFVE certificate, making it a ready-to-run replica. Everett Morrison certificate of authentication available, technical inspection, favorable histovec, accident-free vehicle, trade-in possible. ENGINE AND GEARBOX

The cobra's main feature is of course its 427 naturally-aspirated V8 ‘side oiler’, ultra-powerful with lots of high-quality aluminium parts, developing an approximate output of 500 bhp. There are no engine leaks, and once under way, the gargantuan V8 delivers insane thrust from low revs, with no dips in power and a smooth idle. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a firm but precise Richmond 4-speed transmission. Everett Morrison's Cobra, which was marketed at the same time as the new C4 Corvette, benefited from the same modern sub-assemblies as this sports car, and provided far greater road dynamism than the original 1965 Cobra or certain replicas, thanks in particular to the installation of aluminium suspension wishbones at the front and rear and four disc brakes with aluminium calipers. The history shows invoices attesting to regular maintenance, on an engine that was, all in all, very rudimentary and reliable. 

EXTERIOR

With its fiberglass bodywork, the proportions and features of the original Cobra are perfectly and carefully reproduced. Its red metallic hue in mint condition with a few minor flaws is complemented by the gold racing stripes painted (not stickers) on the bodywork, underneath the varnish. The front and rear chrome bumpers are in perfect condition. The aluminium wheels with butterfly nuts are flawless. There are no defects on the underbody or wheel arches.

INTERIOR

The interior is also very well executed and faithful to the minimalism of the first models. Dressed in black imitation leather with magnificent bucket seats and vintage harnesses in very good condition, the interior features only what is useful for driving. The instrumentation is fully functional, with all the meters and pressure and temperature gauges. We note the addition of an angled gear lever, typical of the Cobra. The plastics and carpets are also in very good condition.

CONSUMABLES

The BF Goodrich Radial T/A front and rear tyres (size 255/60 R15 rear and 235/60 R15 front) are recent and in perfect condition. The brakes have been recently serviced and are up to date, with brake bleeding recently carried out.
