The 3.0 CS was built by Karmann, it was equipped with a 3-liter 6-cylinder engine with 180 hp, which has an easy time with the 1,400 kilograms of our enchanting coupé. Thus, about 20,300 units of the 3.0 CS/CSi were built from 1971 to 1975 (in addition to about 9,400 of the 2800 CS, 1968 - 1971).

Presumably, many of the 29,700 vehicles fell victim to the rust corrosion. Not so our wonderful example in sienna brown metallic with beige leather interior, which is in "good" condition according to an appraisal from 06/2023. On the occasion of a restoration, the vehicle was repainted, for this purpose all vehicle parts were dismantled, according to the report. The 3.0 CS also received a new Bilstein chassis with beautiful 16" aluminium wheels, and the interior was re-leathered true to the original.
