More than 861,000 vehicles: The 02 BMW - produced between 1966 and 1977 - was extremely successful in its days and can be considered the forefather of the BMW 3 Series.

As a pure 4-cylinder series, it was available as the 1502 (75hp), 1602 (85hp and as ti 105hp), 1802 (90hp) and as the 2002 (100hp, ti: 120hp, tii: 130hp, turbo: 170hp) - a decent range with which the 2-door compact sedan was able to appeal to economically minded family fathers as well as amateur racing drivers.

All in all, 02 BMWs have been extremely decimated over the years and are unfortunately far too rarely seen at classic car meetings today.

Our 2002tii - the second most powerful 02 model - was slightly optimized for performance during the rebuild and, according to the previous owner, has a solid 145 hp, which is much easier to access than the Turbo and gives the compact sedan a real boost.

The tii shows no signs of corrosion, neither on the body, nor on the underbody, in the wheel houses or in the engine and trunk.

It was built in the style of the 2002 turbo and therefore has the original turbo front spoiler and the original turbo extensions.

The original Kugelfischer intake manifold injection works perfectly and ensures flawless engine running and the best response under all operating conditions.

As you would expect, driving in this sportily optimized vehicle is addictive. The BMW accelerates vehemently even by today's standards and rushes undeterred through fast corners. There's no question that the engine and chassis harmonize here, just as BMW had imagined - and maybe even a little better.
