1989 | Bentley Eight

This beautifully presented Bentley Eight has covered just 37,000 miles from new and comes with an impressive service history. Complete with all books, leather Bentley document folder, builds records, MOT’s and many service receipts, this Ebony finished example was supplied new on the 1st January 1989 by Henlys (West) Ltd in Salisbury in Wiltshire. They carried out the first service at 1618 miles and at 2767 in 1990 Bentley in Bournemouth serviced the car. Henlys in Chester then began maintaining the car and serviced it at 3241, 3951, 4489 and 6976 miles. In 1999 Rolls Royce Stratton serviced the car at 14227 miles and Broughtons of Cheltenham stamped the book at 19178 miles.

At 19391 miles Broughtons of Cheltenham carried out required maintenance to include a new set of spark plugs and replacing rear brake discs and replacing the differential shaft seal - invoice on file. A host of MOT's record the low annual mileage with the next invoice on file for maintenance carried out by Rolls Royce and Bentley specialists in the South West at 32703 miles. The following service was carried out by F.J Glass & Co at 34711 miles and the car has covered very little mileage since. The Bentley's longest recent trip was driving over to us faultlessly from Northern Ireland via Liverpool where the car performed faultlessly.

A copy of the original bill of sale is on file at £58,000 reminding us of the high quality of these motor cars when new in the late 1980's. Over 30 years on the Bentley is still incredible to drive with comfort, luxury, performance and true quality throughout. This particular low mileage Bentley has clearly led a very sheltered life, the upholstery has been beautifully kept with lovely leather trim, stunning clean dashboard, dials, door cappings, carpets and headlining. The bodywork is beautifully straight with gleaming Ebony paint and on the road the Bentley is equally as impressive with a lovely smooth engine and automatic transmission and the car handles wonderfully, brakes pull up sharply and the car has a relaxed, high quality feel.
