The Aston Martin Vanquish is one of our favourite Cool Classics. Not just because the V12 was very fast, especially for its time, but mainly because of its incorrigible looks. The ultimate gentleman sports car!

The Vanquish was born from 'project Vantage' where Aston Martin was busy developing the 6.0 V12. This was released a little before the Vanquish's birth in the DB7, which was an instant success. When the Vanquish was shown to the public in 2001, it was a new concept for Aston Martin, where the entire body was made of aluminium and the chassis of carbon fibre and aluminium.

The Vanquish got another version for the real Bonds among us; The Vanquish S. They must have had 'The World Is Not Enough' on replay. Especially for those people, the V12 was spiked from 460 to 520 HP and the gentleman's coupe could hit 100 in just 4.6 seconds. If you had a bit of space (and hair on your chest), the 321 km/h was no problem either.

As soon as you get in, you get an extra special feeling. It took 'only' eight Conolly cows to give the Vanquish S its beautifully distinctive interior. As soon as you sit down you understand why Pierce Brosnan chose the Vanquish, Halle Berry's come naturally with this sex on wheels! Der Vanquish entstand aus dem "Projekt Vantage", bei dem Aston Martin mit der Entwicklung des 6.0 V12 beschäftigt war. Dieser kam kurz vor der Geburt des Vanquish im DB7 auf den Markt, der ein sofortiger Erfolg war. Als der Vanquish 2001 der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt wurde, war dies ein neues Konzept für Aston Martin, bei dem die gesamte Karosserie aus Aluminium und das Chassis aus Kohlefaser und Aluminium gefertigt war.

Für die echten Bonds unter uns gab es eine weitere Version des Vanquish: den Vanquish S. Die müssen wohl "The World Is Not Enough" im Replay gehabt haben. Speziell für diese Leute wurde der V12 von 460 auf 520 PS aufgestockt und das Gentleman-Coupé schaffte es in nur 4,6 Sekunden auf 100.
