Beschreibung

For those who know about the German automotive culture and the long history of Porsche this vehicle is well known! This Car is much more than a Porsche itself - it is an artificial monument about the power of thoughts and the human desire for freedom and inner peace. Please take some time and get in touch with an outstanding and true narrative about this unique car.

Around 1950 Germany was splitted into eastern and western Germany. The West was booming with new inventions, technical progress and the optimism to overcome the past. Meanwhile the people in the East were politically and geographically trapped.

Everything from the western side of Germany was forbidden and the citizens feared being departed to jail without a process for little offenses. Even music and literature from the outside were strongly banned and fined.

But one man named Hans Miersch found a way to break this system of censorship!

He was irreversible hurt mentally and physically after long years of war and punishment. He wasn’t even able to walk properly because of one missing leg and the government tried to take over his leather business he built up for decades. Hans Miersch had no more perspectives when one special moment changed his life forever.

While he was secretly scrolling through one „illegal“ automotive magazine from the West one significant thing hit his eyes. The Porsche 356! His heart for aesthetic and engines was set on fire. He immediately knew - this will change everything and give him sense in life.

For sure such a car was forbidden like everything else from the other side but what if he creates his own Porsche? And so he did. His only reference was the article from the western magazine and a poor knowledge about car construction.

But soon two young engineering  students heard about the plan and agreed to help Miersch with his life dream. With simple tools and utensils the framework of the Porsche was built up but soon the trio had to face the lack of metal and car parts.

Like a sign from heaven help was coming! One important letter reached Hans Miersch. Ferry Porsche himself - owner and founder of Porsche - was willing to support the secret mission. He heard about the trio and the Porsche construction in the East and he was very touched. Ferry provided different car parts of the 356 and Hans Miersch smuggled them over the border several times.

Of course this was a delicate venture. Sentencing and jail would be the consequences if the civil servants find out. But everything worked out and this single piece Porsche was born.

After the reunification 1989 Hans Miersch was contacted by Porsche again and the last step to a real Porsche was made.

Porsche accepted the Miersch Version of the 356 as a full blood Porsche.

Our company is more than proud to offer this artifact of German and Porsche history.
