Beschreibung

Unique in the Netherlands, a 2CV 4x4

The 4x4 was originally built in 1999 to participate in the 6000 km Raid Australia in the year 2000. The car then toured the Wadden Islands for 8 years and was subsequently dismantled in 2008. The car was rebuilt in 2014 and received an official chassis number from the RDW. In 2018, the original engine was replaced by a 90 HP BMW engine from an R1100RS motorcycle. This is connected to the gearbox professionally overhauled in July 2024 (by Harry Martens) using the Sparrow Automotive conversion set. It is attached to a self-designed exhaust system, equipped with 2 mufflers. The chassis contains a 20 liter fuel tank. In 2023, the bodywork was completely renewed and fitted with a new bottom. The car was MOT tested in March 2024 and put back on the road.

Thanks to its powerful engine and 4x4 transmission, this 2CV goes further than any 2CV, except the 2CV Sahara of course 😊. Steep slopes can be climbed without any problems, partly thanks to the Vredestein all-terrain tires. Top speed unknown, but well over 140 km/h.

• Approved by the RDW
• Equipped with a BMW R1100 engine (90hp, 1085cc)
• Front gearbox has just been completely overhauled
• Official year of construction July 15, 1986
• 4x4 chassis and kit built in 1999 Barbour
• BMW engine year 1993
• Cosmetically partly renovated in 2023/2024
• New roll top from Matt Soft Tops (UK)
• New front and rear fenders

Numerous accessories, such as rear window heating, tow bar, LED rear lights, Citroën C1 front seats, sound insulation, thermal insulation, GPS speedometer, mass switch, Optima REDTOP battery NEW, connection for the 2nd home battery, etc.
New wiring harness DIY

The car is certainly not finished yet, but it is technically in order. You can leave it as is and take it off-roading or restore it in detail. My thought was always, if I get damaged it is annoying, but with a welding machine and a can of paint it is easy to repair yourself.

For people who respond that the car is far too expensive, it is a cheap alternative to an original 2CV Sahara.
