Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk2, the second generation of the powerful sports compact increased the size with respect to the GTI MK1, which meant an increase in the wheelbase of 75 mm, a length 180 mm greater, the width increased by 55 mm and its height increased another 5 mm. Its exterior design was carried out by the Volkswagen Design Department and retained the general lines of the previous model, although with a slightly more rounded and less angular style. Despite the fact that the second generation of the Volkswagen Golf introduces a multitude of technical and equipment innovations, it was presented with a 1.8-liter engine with 112 hp and Bosch K-Jetronic mechanical injection.
