Here is a brief excerpt taken from the auction description; The sixties theme of the Super Sport model has been enhanced further in this example, owned by the vendor since 2017,  with the most obvious mid-century concession being that Gulf racing livery, arguably made most famous by the successful Ford Le Mans conquering GT40s. Sat over the cars Iris Blue painted aluminium panels, this is thought to be the only Super Sport finished in the famous oil firm scheme. In addition to its striking appearance on the outside, this Super Sport, incidentally number 50 of 60, and indeed all of its Super Sport siblings, left the Malvern works with some fantastic period features such as twin built in gate analogue stop watches, light ash dashboards and a Banjo steering wheel. The most exciting enhancements were not cosmetic however, the Super Sport gaining a 200bhp, Jenvey throttle-body fed, variable cam engine and 3.73 ratio limited-slip differential. Chassis tweaks included adjustable shock absorbers, an anti-tramp bar and Panhard rod, uprated brake pads and reaction bars and a three-turn lock-to-lock steering rack.
