2008 | Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG

Launched in 2008, the SL63 AMG was unveiled and benefited from the major aesthetic upgrade like the other SLs, including new headlights. Equipped with the famous 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine producing 525 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque, the SL63 AMG offers a unique driving experience. Thanks to this engine, it goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. In addition to its performance, the SL63 is distinguished by cutting-edge technologies, such as an active suspension and a 7-speed AMG Speedshift gearbox, which ensures fast and precise gear changes.

The example we are presenting today is a Mercedes SL63 AMG equipped with the AMG Performance Pack. Ordered in January 2008 for the sum of €185,000, this SL63 AMG was then delivered to its first and only French owner in June 2008. Maintained almost exclusively in the Mercedes-Benz network and totaling only 25.000 km, the car has an "Obsidian Black" paint combined with an exclusive black nappa leather interior. This SL63 is also equipped with the rare P30 "Performance Pack" option (€11.400 at the time) and which includes many improvements. This pack includes ventilated composite brake discs (390x36mm) at the front, a multi-disc limited-slip rear differential with 40% locking for improved grip, 19-inch AMG forged light-alloy wheels with 255/35 R19 (front) and 285/30 R19 (rear) tires, AMG suspensions and the smaller diameter AMG Performance steering wheel, flattened at its base, with aluminum gearshift paddles. Among the many other options, we also find the AMG Driver Package (maximum speed increased to 300 km/h), interior and exterior carbon pack, massaging, heated and ventilated seats, Harman Kardon sound system, panoramic roof, ABC suspension (Active Body Control), Parktronic, etc. The full list is of course visible below.
