Beschreibung

The Land Rover car design takes us back to a beach in Wales, just after WW2. The very beginning of Land Rover itself is the fabled story of brothers Maurice and Spencer Wilks, sketching out the simple design of what would become an enduring and iconic classic 4WD vehicle. A simple design, because times were hard. Cause, well, the war. Materials, even the most basic ones, were hard to come by.

The example which we are presenting here today surely will turn heads in every town and forest you will drive through. With her fresh paint job and original V8 engine upgraded with a fuel injection system, she surely will make anyone smile. We found her in a dry climate meaning that she is as solid as a rock. We converted her to be topless and added the series doors to complete the safari vibe. At CarCave we love the original V8 Defenders. Especially when you can drive them without a roof. The V8 adds a layer of performance and sound that is a pleasure to own. As she had such good underpinnings we decided to give her a fresh paint job in silver metallic to match the rest of her quality.

Inside you will find a repainted silver metallic interior that will be comfortable for the next few decades to come. The seats are trimmed in a boat fabric that can handle water and the sun very well. Also the dashboard has been retrimmed in black leather to complete the look. In the back you will find a loading space finished with a fresh rubber cover to protect your load and the paintwork. And if you want, we can make you a quote to install some extra seats or extra goodies such as a soft top. You will find that we renewed countless details around her to bring her up to quality.

Mechanically we did not leave this Defender V8 untouched either. Her engine has been improved with the fuel injection system for improved performance. And to make her sound incredible, we fitted a full stainless steel exhaust system including the headers. Her gearbox, transfer case, suspension, etc. have all been fully checked and are in great working condition. At this moment she is one of our favorite Defenders to drive on a sunny day!

Since the pictures we have installed a tyre carrier in the back with the spare installed.

This Defender V8 truly is a great example to own, with a very healthy base and the original V8 Chassis number and engine. So what are you waiting for? Get in touch now to own a truly great example of a Defender V8!
