For sale at Aston Workshop is this 1961 Aston Martin DB4, finished in Aston Racing Green over Burgundy leather. One of only 165 Series III cars built, this is one of the final produced and was originally distributed through Lex Garages in a specification of Snow Shadow Grey over Red leather. The car was originally equipped with Overdrive, Chrome Wheels and a Motorola Radio, all of which are still with the car.

The car comes with an extensive history file detailing decades of thorough maintenance beginning with the original service work in the 1960s. As well as MOT certificates for the car, the file also includes invoices for various upgrade and restoration work completed throughout its lifetime. In 2000 the car’s engine was fully rebuilt and upgraded to 4.2L capacity, and in 2003 Phoenix Car Restorations, Surrey, undertook a series of chassis repairs; these two jobs constituted a total spend of over £30,000.

The car was then looked after by Trinity Engineering, who carried out a suspension overhaul and dashboard repair before undertaking a thorough recommissioning in 2005 to return the car to a fantastic condition. Trinity and Phoenix continued to care for the car for a number of years, with regular services carried out and upgrades fitted such as power steering.
