The Giulietta Sprint Veloce was the sports version of the Giulietta Sprint designed for automotive competitions, which was introduced in 1956. Compared to the Giulietta Sprint, the technical characteristics vary: The Veloce version comes with a double carburettor and higher compression, with the engine producing 90 hp. Thanks to a weight reduced to less than 900 kilograms with the help of light metal bonnets and doors and Plexiglas side windows, the Milan coupe soon dominated the popular 1300 class in the semi-series category in all major races.
