Triumph TR 4A IRS, year 1966. Chassis (VIN) number CTC74888-L, engine number CT4488E, body number 75158/CT. Colour dark blue combined with a beige (tan) leather interior and beige carpet. Blue mohair soft top and hood cover. This wonderful Triumph TR 4A IRS was sold new in the USA. The TR 4 was designed by the Italian master designer Michelotti who had given the Triumph cars of the 1960s a completely new and fashionable design. The IRS is the definitive and most advanced version of the Triumph TR 4 fitted with Independent Rear Suspension (IRS). This fine TR 4 was imported to the Netherlands in 2007. In the period 2010-2013 the automobile was extensively restored and overhauled by the current owner. Everything was restored and or renewed, invoices and photos of the restoration are present. The engine was overhauled by Willems Classic Cars in Venray. This Triumph TR 4A IRS is in an excellent condition and the car drives delightfully! The TR 4 is fitted with overdrive. Furthermore, the car features special comfort seats with high back rests and head rests, a walnut veneer dashboard, a Lecarra sports steering wheel with leather rim, chrome wire wheels shod with 185/15 Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres, a Stainless-Steel exhaust and exhaust manifold, an electric fan, two rear view mirrors on the doors, and a Philips car-HiFi-system in wood look with Visaton speakers. The car is very well serviced and maintained and everything is up to date. The attention to detail can be seen in the boot where a hydraulic jack and the tool set are stowed away very neatly.
