2009 Porsche Cayenne GTS Design Edition 3 powered by the 4.8L V8 producing 405 bhp

An exclusive limited edition Cayenne GTS “Porsche Design Edition 3”. Limited to just 1,000 units worldwide, the limited edition Cayenne adds equipment and Porsche Design styling touches to stand out from the crowd.

A striking Lava Grey metallic exterior color with Porsche Design decals and badges identifies this Cayenne as something special, with interior design enhancements including “Porsche Design Edition 3” identification on the tachometer, front door entry and glovebox. The overall design clearly expresses the classical signature of the Porsche Design Studio based in Zell am See, Austria.

For us there is only 1 cool model of Cayenne and that is the first generation and its facelift, such as this one. These are the only Cayenne that were actually designed by Porsche to go off-road. From 2010 onwards Porsche designed the Cayenne for the street and shopping mall. This generation Cayenne comes with a low range gearbox, lockers and a full 4x4 drivetrain. This makes them very good off-road to begin with. As we love V8’s at Carcave, we couldn’t resist the Cayenne GTS which is powered by the 4.8L V8 producing 405 bhp. With six-speed Tiptronic S as standard, this Cayenne accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds on its way to a 251 km/h top speed. She does not hang around…

The example which we are presenting here today is not your normal Cayenne GTS Design Edition 3 as she comes with a range of goodies to take the experience to the next level. She has been fitted with a high quality Ocean Cross roof tent with 270° batwing canopy. And with the custom OZ Racing wheels fitted with BF Goodrich All Terrain tires, you can take her on almost every adventure. This Cayenne was delivered new in Torino, Italy before her adventures in Latvia. Her last German owner decided to upgrade her with all of these goodies for a vacation in Croatia. She comes with a complete service history and all of her books.

The Design Edition 3 is recognizable by its distinctive Lava Grey Metallic paint, which on this Cayenne is for 80% all original. Also the special stickers are original and in good condition throughout. Our favorite part has to be the rear end with the quad exhausts and fat bumper accentuated by the off road wheels. The original GTS wheels with winter tires are also present.

Inside you will find a timeless and very comfortable interior. The Design Edition 3 comes with carbon fiber elements, black leather and alcantara seats with black stitching, and a lot more… And on longer trips, we really enjoyed the Bose Surround sound system. For extra comfort we replaced the AC compressor so you can be sure to have a cool interior in every climate.

Mechanically she is as good as she looks. Her 4.8L V8 engine is a jewel, which we give a very good service. We replaced the water pump, pulley, tensioners, belt oil, oil filter, etc. Also her gearbox received a new filter and oil meaning that she is ready to hit the streets or the off road track with confidence.
