In this 50th year celebration of the 911 Turbo, we're thrilled to include this incredible example in our summer sale. As Porsche themselves state this represents “the closest link between motor sport and everyday driving”. There is little doubt that the 930 Turbo represents the pinnacle of motoring excellence. Many drivers have reached the limit of their ability long before this car has reached its own. It's nomenclature of the 'widow maker' is well earned.

This example was first registered to Porsche GB Reading to represent the highest specification available at the time. This was part of the 'Special Wishes' scheme and customers could order upgrades that simply weren't available to other cars. The most obvious of which in this example are the fitting of 'Recaro Ideal C' seats (authenticated by Porsche in the paperwork), fully electrically adjustable and heated all through an 80s-style chunky-buttoned panel as well as, unusually, inflatable lumbar supports. The original Blaupunkt Koln SQR 22 radio/cassette player along with tape storage can be found on the transmission tunnel where the rebuilt 3.3 litre engine and gearbox transfers power through a limited slip differential to the rear. The Turbo Fuchs are in excellent condition and fitted with a set of new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres. It's the 300bhp that this powerhouse produces that necessitates the characteristic rear spoiler reducing lift force by an alleged 100%.

Subject to an £80,000 restoration by SL Restoration &Parr Porsche some two years ago, highly respected Porsche recommended marque specialists, the car's original specification exactly reflects the colour scheme of Metallic Platinum with brown leather used by the Stuttgart company in their marketing material from 1983. The previous owner enjoyed this car for some 26 years with the current vendor since 2017. Supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche GB along with two extensive files of invoices and service information (Autofarm being early custodians) as well as other interesting items such as the original floor mats, immaculate toolkit &air compressor, space-saver wheel and two period brochures. Make no mistake, this is one of the finest on the marketplace today and with its flawless paintwork presents perhaps better than when new in 1983 and the meticulous restoration should ensure a further 40 years of ultimate driving pleasure.
