  • One of just 963 examples ever produced

  • Delivered new in Germany

  • Full service history

In 1999, the legendary 993 gave way to the groundbreaking 996 model, heralding a new era for Porsche. After two years of intense development, the 996 GT2 made its thrilling debut at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2001. This model was a masterclass in engineering, fusing the razor-sharp performance of the GT3 with the robust Turbo body and Porsche's most powerful turbocharged engine yet. With a stripped-down, GT3-inspired interior and a rear-wheel-drive setup devoid of traction control or stability management, the GT2 offered an exhilarating, raw driving experience.

Porsche Motorsport reimagined the GT2 as a track-focused road car, but this didn't dilute its fierce character. With a formidable 462 horsepower - this machine delivered an unmistakable punch, proving that German horses always carried an extra edge. The 996 GT2 quickly ascended to become the fastest and most expensive 911 of its time, cementing its status as a true Porsche icon.

This beautiful GT2 is one of only 963 examples crafted between 2001 and 2004, originally delivered through Porsche Zentrum Lübeck on the 28th of August 2001. This exceptional vehicle was meticulously specified through the Porsche Exclusive Program and equipped with the stunning Arctic Silver exterior and a luxurious full black leather interior that perfectly contrasts the interior’s Arctic Grey accents.

With just 69,060 kilometers on the clock, this GT2 is in remarkable condition. The gear shifter shows no wear and glistens beautifully in the sun. The center console looks brand new, and the black dashboard exhibits zero sun damage or cracks. The leather seats are impeccably conditioned, with pristine bolstering and no discoloration in sight. The car’s meticulously kept service records speak volumes, confirming that this car has been lovingly cared for, making it a true enthusiast’s dream.

The GT2’s intoxicating flat-six engine works flawlessly, starting up with every single turn of the key and running perfectly. From the moment you take the wheel, it’s clear you’re in a pure GT2. The suspension eliminates any body roll yet is still forgiving over bumps and the power delivery is nothing short of exhilarating. The steering provides constant feedback, keeping you in tune with the road, while the aggressive chassis settings mean the front end eagerly seeks out every imperfection on the asphalt. As the turbochargers spool up, they take command with astonishing ferocity but somehow there’s almost no turbo lag in sight. Warming up the tires unlocks the GT2’s full potential; as they gain grip, the massive rear tires become incredibly planted, and confidence levels soar. Even though the 996 GT2 handles like a dream, its power still demands respect; you must deftly balance your steering and throttle inputs, mindful of any cold tires and spikes in boost.

Now, you have the incredible opportunity to make this dream a reality. You can pick up your very own Porsche 996 GT2 at RNR Classics.
