Transmission: 4 gears, Manual gearbox

The Porsche 911, who do we still have to explain what kind of car it is? World famous, and has been for many decades. Since the 911 appeared in 1964, it is impossible to imagine the history of the automobile without it and it adorns many a boy's room in poster form. It is a dream for many to own a 911 one day.

The 911 you see here is a 2.4 E from 1972 in a beautiful and splash-pure condition. Connoisseurs can already feel it coming: this is the so-called ölklappe, the variant with the external oil filler flap behind the passenger door. This cover disappeared as suddenly as it came, as it was much confused with the fuel tank cover. Therefore, the ölklappe was only produced in 1972.
Under the hood is a beautiful 2.4 liter air-cooled 'flat six'. In this case, the six cylinders are fed by two triple Weber carburettors, which are not only a feast for the eyes with a beautiful chalice with grilles, but also provide a beautiful intake sound. Originally, the 'E', as the successor to the 'L', was fed by mechanical fuel injection, but no fan of classic cars will find this (rebuildable) modification annoying. The matching numbers power source has already been completely overhauled, including the five-speed gearbox.

This 911 is executed in the popular and not very common color Aubergine. The ölklappe has already been given a new coat of paint and the purple coat of paint still looks very fresh. We think 'like new' is just a bridge too far, with a minimal trace of use here or there, but it comes close. The Porsche makes a very pleasant impression, from whichever angle you look at the car. Also immediately noticeable are the perfect-looking 14” Fuchs wheels with a very fresh set of Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires and the Touring spotlights available from the factory.
The interior of the E is largely original. The front seats have been reupholstered once with the original material but the rest is how it left the factory in 1972. It creates a beautiful and atmospheric ambiance. Original headlining, original carpets, the whole car looks exceptionally 'real'. This 911 was delivered from the factory with air conditioning, hence the air vents placed on the underside of the dashboard. The air conditioning has been removed once, but the ventilation system is still present. The leather steering wheel, which is standard equipment on an E, is in very good condition, as are the S-type dials, the sliding rear side windows and the lockable glove compartment.

The car comes with the service booklet stamped by the dealer, the warranty booklet, the key card and the instruction booklet. These are accompanied by various maintenance invoices. The original spare wheel, jack and tool roll are also present.

There may be even more extensively restored 911s for sale, or even more original ones. However, we dare to say that this 2.4 E is one of the purest 911s, with many original elements and atmosphere. However, the technical restoration and work on the exterior make the car ready for decades of fun. A 911 that probably hits the right note with every Porsche enthusiast.
