Description

Originally supplied new by Rossel Germany, this Porsche 356 B Super 90 Coupe found its way to the USA, finally residing in New Jersey, before returning to Europe.

This beautiful looking Porsche 356 Super 90 Coupe is more than skin deep, thanks to the owner’s engineering background. The car was a ground up restoration, and the company entrusted to carry out the work, is known for its detailed process, being a revered historic formula one race car specialist.

The car has covered less than 1000 careful miles since restoration, to ensure that all components have bedded in and the rebuilt engine has been gently run-in.

The owner gave a great deal of thought to the choice of body colour, a wonderful period silver grey, the high-grade olive-green leather for the interior, down to the slightly lowered stance of the car. The removal of the bumpers (available), just allows the wonderful curves of the Porsche 356 to be best seen.

The file detailing the rebuild is detailed and is broken down into virtually every component, including its forged pistons, with new liners, giving a nice capacity increase of 90cc, for more torque and better response.

The engine keeps its original camshafts and twin Solex carburetors, so power is around 90BHP, but the car is light (900KG) and therefore the car is propelled along with a nice amount of verve.

Finished in period silver grey metallic, slightly lowered, and with contrasting olive-green interior, this Super 90 attracts admiration from all generations.

De- bumpered, and with its slightly lowered stance, wonderful period auxiliary driving lights, with yellow tints, just adds to the fabulous design cues of this 356.

Besides the paper provenance there is a detailed electronic photographic account, covering every aspect of this comprehensive restoration.

The cars original condition bumpers, seats and steering wheel are available.
