What a delightful car this Peugeot 403 Convertible is! If you're looking for a classic that's not only rare but also exudes irresistible charm, then this is the car for you. Finished in the stunning Vert Foncé métallisé, this Peugeot looks fantastic and feels just as wonderful as it appears. This is a convertible that tempts you time and again to hit the road on a sunny day and simply enjoy everything around you.

*Rare
*
This rare 403 convertible is one of only 2,500 examples ever built, making it extra special. It was newly delivered in Sweden, where it was lovingly cherished for decades before coming to the Netherlands. Thanks to previous restoration and overhaul work, the car is in a really nice condition, ready to enjoy the sun and cruise through small villages abroad.

*Delightful color combination and beautiful details
*
The exterior of this Peugeot is simply breathtaking. The Vert Foncé métallisé paint gives the car a stunning vintage appearance, while the chrome details have developed a subtle patina that only adds to the charm of this French lady. The bodywork is sleek, with nice panel gaps and well-maintained wheels that perfectly match the car's stylish look. This 403 has the looks and character that we at Gallery Aaldering appreciate so much.

The beige leather upholstery combined with green carpets creates a unique atmosphere that instantly takes you back to the 1950s. The interior exudes elegance, just as you'd expect from a French Peugeot of this era. Every detail is carefully finished, and the whole feels like a time capsule of French luxury.

*Fantastic driving characteristics
*
Under the hood, we find the well-known 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which runs smoothly and responds promptly to every press on the accelerator. The clutch operates lightly and effortlessly, making driving a pleasure. The car offers surprisingly comfortable handling and is perfectly suited for relaxed drives through the countryside or picturesque villages. Where will you go?

Technically, this 403 is also in good condition. Carefully maintained and perfectly tuned, this convertible offers exactly the driving experience you expect from a car built for bon vivants. Add to that the delightful scent of the original manuals (we also love old books), which are included with the car, and you have a complete experience that will captivate any car enthusiast.

*Famous from Columbo
*
The Peugeot 403 gained worldwide fame thanks to the legendary TV series Columbo, in which the detective, played by Peter Falk, drove around in a 403 Convertible. Falk personally chose the 403 after seeing one parked at the film studio's lot. Introduced in 1955 and designed by Pinin Farina, the 403 was powered by a 1,468 cc four-cylinder overhead-valve engine. During its production years, Peugeot built over a million 403s, but the convertible version remained a rarity, with only a small production run of around 2,500 units. This makes this convertible an extremely collectible and desirable example.
