Description
**The MGC, produced by the British manufacturer MG Cars, was manufactured between 1967 and 1969 as an innovative and powerful variant of the beloved MGB. Aimed at offering a more performance-oriented alternative to the MGB, the MGC was equipped with a robust 3. 0-liter inline-six engine. This new engine provided a significant boost in power and performance, making it a thrilling drive for enthusiasts.
The MGC was designed with both style and functionality in mind. Its distinctive bodywork featured unique design elements compared to the MGB, including a longer hood to accommodate the inline-six engine. Despite its sporty leanings, the MGC retained the classic MG look, appealing to drivers who appreciated both elegance and performance.
During its brief production run, only around 4, 500 units of the MGC were built, where this is body number 2639, contributing to its rarity today. This limited production, combined with its unique features and powerful engine, has made the MGC a sought-after collector’s item among classic car enthusiasts.
Due to the evolving emissions regulations and a shift in market demand, the MGC was discontinued in 1969, making it a beloved yet short-lived chapter in MG’s rich automotive history. Today, the MGC is celebrated not just for its performance but also for its historical significance and classic charm. Owning an MGC is not only about driving a car; it’s about becoming a part of automotive history.
If you appreciate classic cars and the legacy of MG, the MGC is a perfect addition to your collection, offering a blend of power, rarity, and timeless beauty.**
A very nice example of the MGC with a wonderful 3. 0 liter engine. The sound and feel of the inline-six is unique. This car should not be confused with the MGB (which is also a nice car which i had before).
