Wij bieden te koop aan deze zeer bijzondere en zeldzame MG MGB GT V8 Costello uit 1971. De beroemde Engelse engineer Ken Costello heeft in de periode van 1970-1974 in opdracht van British Leyland (MG) slechts 225 MGB GT versies met V8 gebouwd. Het model van Costello werd zo goed ontvangen dat MG later eigen V8 modellen is gaan bouwen. Echter, de liefhebbers zweren bij de Costello uitvoering en noemen deze ook wel de “originele” V8 . Een model met een bijzondere historie en zeer geliefd onder verzamelaars. Naar verluidt zijn er momenteel nog slechts zo’n 60 Costello’s op de weg.

De MGB GT V8 Costello die we hier te koop aanbieden is afkomstig van een liefhebber die de klassieker maar liefst 20 jaar in zijn bezit heeft gehad. Hij wordt aangedreven door de 3.5 liter V8 motor die gekoppeld is aan een 4-versnellingsbak met overdrive. De motor van de auto rookt en verbruikt olie. Deze unieke auto wordt zonder garantie verkocht.

De MGB GT V8 Costello die we hier te koop aanbieden is uitgevoerd in een mooi rood lakwerk dat in het verleden een keer is overgespoten. Het kunstlederen interieur van de Costello verkeert in een nette staat met kleine gebruikssporen. De MGB GT is uitgerust met een Moto-Lita sportstuur dat helemaal past bij deze jaren 70 British Classic.

We offer for sale this very special and rare MG MGB GT V8 Costello from 1971. The famous English engineer Ken Costello built only 225 MGB GT versions with V8 on behalf of British Leyland (MG) in the period 1970-1974. Costello's model was so well received that MG later started building its own V8 models. However, enthusiasts swear by the Costello version and also call it the “original” V8. A model with a special history and very popular among collectors. There are reportedly only about 60 Costellos on the road at the moment.
