Description

This incredibly well presented 1967 MKI MGB GT was mechanically rebuilt to an impressive specification in 2016. The MGB was fitted with an 1860cc engine with alloy cylinder head, high ratio roller rockers, Oselli manifolds, twin choke Weber carb, uprated camshaft and stainless steel exhaust. The MG was further upgraded with Wilwood 2 pot calipers and vented brake discs, an alternator, new oil cooler pipes and fitted with new rear springs, dampers, drop arms and bushes, an alloy bonnet and 15” MGC wire wheels.

MJB 333E was purchased by its last owner in 2022 and whilst impressed with the mechanical condition and specification, the bodywork and paintwork were looking tired and requiring a refresh. The owner commissioned a Bedford based classic car specialists to carry out the work and over £14,000 was spent between 2022 and 2023. The MGB was externally fully stripped down, taken back to metal where required, any body repairs required were carried out, the car then re-gapped and profiled ahead of a full re-paint and careful build up.

As result of the recent works the MGB presents exceptionally well with impressive paintwork, trims, badges and brightwork. The paint finish is stunning, the bodywork superbly straight with excellent panels and as result of the work, the car is structurally excellent. The interior is tastefully modified, the engine bay very well presented and on the road this quick, superbly enhanced MG really comes into its own. The B is fast, responsive and the 1860cc engine holds excellent oil pressure. The four speed gearbox is smooth with working overdrive and handling and braking are first class. Having covered very little mileage since its mechanical upgrades and more recent bodywork and paint, MJB 333E offers an excellent all round package, far more than the cars value has been spent on the two programs of work.
