The Mercedes-Benz Pagode is inextricably linked with the German star. With its sleek design and distinctive upright headlights, this Mercedes follows in the footsteps of the legendary W198 SL Gullwing and convertible. Unlike its predecessor, the Pagode was only delivered as an open roadster. The nickname Pagode is derived from the concave shape of the hardtop, which strongly resembles the traditional roofs of Chinese pagodes. This characteristic design is also reflected in the headrests of this Mercedes. The SL has brought great success to Mercedes-Benz and remains a popular classic to this day. With its beautifully designed body, powerful six-cylinder engine, and sublime craftsmanship that only Mercedes can achieve, the Pagode ranks among the timeless classics that few competitors can match. Drive a Pagode, and you will understand what Mercedes of that era stood for. There is no other car that drives like a Mercedes.
This Mercedes-Benz W113 230SL Pagode was originally delivered to the United States in 1966 and is now in a beautifully restored condition and is also matching numbers. The first owner ordered this beautiful SL in the rare black color, exactly the same color the car still has today. Very few Pagodes were originally delivered in this color, making this Mercedes-Benz even more special.

The exterior of the car has been restored with great attention to detail. The paint is therefore in fantastic condition, and the restoration work was carried out meticulously. The tight bodywork and correct fitment, including the distinctive indentations in the front fender, testify to the high-quality restoration that this Pagode has undergone. The convertible top is of excellent quality, shows no signs of wear, and fits perfectly.

The interior has been restored with equal care; all carpets have been renewed and fit perfectly, while the seats are upholstered in beautifully high-quality leather. The dashboard and all controls look as if they have just come out of the factory. Under the hood is a revised, matching numbers 2.3-liter inline-six engine that drives the car smoothly and powerfully with 150 hp and 196 Newton meters of torque. The four-speed automatic transmission shifts effortlessly and contributes to the comfortable driving experience of this classic convertible. The technical condition of the car is also very good; the engine runs perfectly, and the car drives and handles as you would expect from a good Mercedes-Benz.

The Pagode comes with a complete onboard folder, making all documentation and history of the car available. In short, this extremely stylish Mercedes-Benz W113 230SL combines a stunning color scheme with a fantastic restoration and offers an unparalleled driving experience. All you need to do is get in and enjoy this timeless classic.
