The Mercedes-Benz G-Class was launched in 1979 as a military off-road vehicle. The robust nature of the vehicle and its off-road capabilities make the Geländewagen (loosely translated as off-road vehicle) the choice for the Dutch (since 1992) and German army and numerous security units worldwide.

In its more than forty years of existence, the exterior has hardly changed. However, the engines have been replaced on a regular basis and the interior has been given a makeover over the years. In 2009, the G-Class 30th Edition was launched on the market as a special anniversary model.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is available in various body styles, namely a pick-up, ambulance, van, a short station wagon, a long station wagon, a convertible, a military scout vehicle and an extended version with rear doors.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class has had four types over the years: 460, this was the first G-Class, 462 was assembled in Greece for the army. In 1990, the 463 Baureihe was released, a luxurious version with an interior that was more reminiscent of a passenger car. Because the 463 had actually become too luxurious, the 461 was released. This simpler version with fabric upholstery and a simple interior was available for a long time for utility customers such as farmers, fire brigades, construction, etc.

Both diesel and petrol versions have been brought onto the market. Almost all the heavier Mercedes-Benz passenger car engines have found their place under the hood in the G-Class. The G-Class is characterized today by its classic appearance, its rare appearance and its luxurious interior, which is no less than the Mercedes top-class sedans.

The G-Class is one of the most stable cars currently for sale. The demand for the G-Class is extremely high and since the rising popularity of the SUV segment, sales have increased sharply, mainly in the United States.

This G-Class presented here is a 320 L in AMG version. It was delivered in Japan at the time and ran there until 2020. It has had the proverbial maintenance and still drives great. Furthermore, this G is in AMG version, which means that it is extra luxurious on the inside and nothing is missing. The body looks like new and the interior is the same. It has the booklets and also the Japanese maintenance.
This G-320 is a perfect street and off-road car for the Mercedes enthusiast.
