The Lamborghini Diablo
The bosses at Lamborghini had wished for a maximum speed of at least 320 km/h, and the engineers made this wish come true. With a top speed of 325 km/h and acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, the Diablo claimed the pole position in the super sports cars segment.
The Diablo was destined to become the worthy heir of the renowned Miura and Countach. This new supercar was wide, low, and futuristic. And just like its predecessors, it soon became a favorite among car enthusiasts across the world.
The Diablo was produced between 1990 and 2001. During this period, Lamborghini introduced several variations of the Diablo concept, which contributed to building Lamborghini's legend and were extremely successful in terms of sales: almost 3,000 units were sold across the world.
The iconic Lamborghini V12 aspirated engine has been the roaring heart of many legendary vehicles throughout its nearly 60-year history. The latter includes Lamborghini Diablo, which made history as the first Lamborghini super sports car equipped with all-wheel drive.
The Diablo brought the V12 engine to 5.7 liters and then to 6 liters, with an output of 600 CV for on-road models and 655 for the GT1 race model.
This Lamborghini Diablo VT
Perfect car with excellent history. Bought new by the father of the current owner. Collected personally in Sant' Agata and handed over by legendary factory test driver Valentino Balboni. After some years, he passed the car on to a collector in Austria. There has been one further caretaker, before the car returned to 'its' family in 2014.
While the car was excellent, it was decided to refurbish it and take it back to factory condition. This included a full disassembly and professional repaint in its original red, overhaul of all mechanical and electrical systems (all work is documented).
Lightly used and regularly serviced since. Full inspection report from an independent German appraiser available (done two years ago). 64,600 mls.
