Description
In the 1930s, the Ford Motor Company was the second largest car manufacturer in the world. From 1925, the famous Ford Estate was also assembled in Berlin. On 2 October 1930, Henry Ford personally laid the foundation stone for the production facilities in Cologne. After the war, the Ford Taunus models rolled off the production line there again from 1948. The Taunus 17 M P 2, a new design, was launched on the market in 1957. Its sweeping body was popularly known as the “Gelsenkirchen Baroque”. In 1960, the streamlined Taunus 17 M P 3 model appeared with the advertising slogan “Line of reason” and sold more than twice as many units as its predecessor.
Our Ford 17 M P 3 is the two-door limousine with a displacement of 1.5 litres. It was first registered in Bad Oldesloe, north-east of Hamburg. This classic car has a neat original interior and good technology. However, sheet metal work needs to be carried out on the sills and side panels. But this can be done in a structured manner.
