The DeTomaso Mangusta is undoubtedly an exceptional car that holds a very special place in the world of classic sports cars. There are countless reasons why this car is considered special. The design of the De Tomaso Mangusta is one of its most outstanding characteristics. The exciting and angular body, with its powerful Ford V8 under the winged tailgates, was one of the most sought-after super sports cars of its time between 1967 and 1971. "Mangusta" is the Italian word for the mongoose - a small mammal capable of defeating poisonous cobras. The name "Mangusta" signaled that this car was to be a serious competitor for Corolla Shelby's Cobras.
The vehicle presented here was extensively restored in Germany by a marque expert and coated using a cathodic dip-paint process. The car is in an excellent condition. Only 401 vehicles were manufactured in total. Technically and in this rare and attractive color scheme, it looks like a typical Italian sports car, but it is a tamed racing car...!
