1993 | BMW 318i

The BMW E30 is the second-generation of BMW 3 Series, which was produced from 1982 to 1994 and replaced the E21. The range included two-door coupe and convertible body styles, as well as being the first 3 Series to be produced in four-door saloon and wagon/estate body styles. It was powered by either a four-cylinder petrol, six-cylinder petrol or six-cylinder diesel engines, the latter a first for the 3 Series. The E30 325iX model was the first BMW to have all-wheel drive. The first BMW M3 model was built on the E30 platform and the BMW Z1 roadster was also based on the E30 platform.

This E30 318i is nothing short of a time warp example, having covered a mere 31,557 miles from new and having always been a 'special occasion' car, always garaged and always properly cared for. The car was bought new at Barons of Farnborough by the Red Arrows Squadron Leader for his wife and was first registered on 6th April 1993. The car was specified in Brilliant Red, which still gleams and is in excellent condition. Other factory options included leather covered sport steering wheel, cross spoke alloy wheels, Shadowline trim, electric convertible top and black leather interior which is also in superb condition. The history file is very impressive, every MoT test certificate is present and every MoT has been carried out at the same garage. The service book contains many stamps and invoices showing proper maintenance. The car has been fully detailed ready for sale and is in show ready condition. This is certainly one for the collector who wants an E30 which has lived a very gentle life and has never required anything other than regular maintenance and care.
