1949 | Bentley Speed Eight
Description
This impressive Bentley Speed 8 Special “Le Mans” was built by Racing Green Engineering on a full restored and strenghtened beloved short Bentley chassis from 1950. Featured with a powerful B80 5,6 liter eight-inline engine coupled to a manual four-speed MKVI manual transmission, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears are synchronized.
This beautiful example is in superb condition and drives like new. The driving experience is magnificent, it offers you the pre-war feeling you were looking for. The dark tough sound of the exhaust is just great. We are dealing with a stunning recreation from the Speed 6 Le Mans that made its name with two victories at Le Mans.
This Speed 8 was built in 2016, commissioned by a German collectionneur, who still owns the car today. All details are a perfect blend of ‘period correct’ and important reliability. Astonishingly easy to drive despite its size. Perfect Classic car for your long journeys offering space for driver and 3 passengers.
