Description

What a little cracker jack we have here

I myself am rather partial to Mini's having first watched 'crime corker' The Italian Job, with all its fabulous one liners, punchy quips and yes GREAT cars, as a dowey eyed young boy and as with so many the infection was aggressively embedded

Whizzing across the Grand Piazza, dove tailing down water ways and flowing through pipes leaving a trail of broken Alfa Romeo Giulias in their wake the three get away cars were the stars of the show against the backdrop of Lamborghini Miura's, Jaguar E-types & Convertible DB4s

Since then the Mini has continued to punch well above its weight in all endeavours, be it touring car racing or forming an integral part of any serious collection sitting door to door with genuine million dollar motors

As one might therefore expect car's such as the one have become more and more sought after

Presented in her original specification of Almond Green over Old English White outside and Porcelain Green & Grey inside her overall condition sets off the spec superbly well

As an Austin manufactured MK1 'S' she and her contemporaries enjoyed only a very short production run during 1963 & 1964 and represented the first iteration of the now fabled 1275cc engine found in a Mini

The engine in ours here is very reassuringly the original engine too

She also comes with two sets of wheels, the Mini Lights you see in the majority of the pictures above and the steel whites with chrome hubs you see in the video

Delivered new to Saint Louis, USA and specified with a still toasty warm fresh air heater she was a museum exhibit for many years before being exported back to the UK where she was fully restored prior to the being sold by JD Classics in their original guise

Since then she has been with the same owner until we took her in only a short while ago, He had her stored in his very smart heated garage together with her equally well presented stablemates.....

To drive the obvious Mini sensations abound, with the throtty little engine offering up far more than one could ever expect and the unmistakable handling spirited & inspiring! The gear change is tight, taught & deliberate and her overall manner is on the money - a shame really that she has only covered 888 miles in the last 6 years!

There aren't many better than this one
