Description

What makes this Austin Healey 100M so special is that it was delivered to a car dealer in Düsseldorf already with a 100M engine. Sold to a wealthy person in the area of ** Düsseldorf. ** Later immigrated to Philadelphia US and went on the boat. Who owned the Austin Healey until 03-02-1990. And then sold for 4,480 US dollars to James J Yurasits 1129 Washington ST Allentown PA 18102. After driving it for more than 11 years. member of the Auto club AAA. After that, the Austin Healey went into dry storage, where it stood for 19 years. Came into the possession of LBI Limited 4520-40 Worth Street Unit K104, Philadelphia, PA 19124 on 10-12-2020. The Austin Healey was sold to me on 12-08-2020. And the Austin Healey 100M brought to the Netherlands by Marlog Car Hendeling. Smoorstraat 24, 4705 AA Rozendaal, where I picked her up myself. Now I could start the restoration. I have worked on it for 2 years. I have spared no expense or effort to bring the Austin Healey 100M into a concours condition. See the result. This Austin Healey is not a factory La Mans version but a later one. The 100M modifications are all small, but they add up to an increase of 20 HP from 90 HP-110 HP, and ultimately an experience and presentation that is stunning. These late modifications include an aluminum slatted hood with belt, aluminum trunk lid, aluminum doors, aluminum fuel tank special aluminum cold air box and the engine has a special camshaft and pistons with higher compression and tuned H6 carburetors, aluminum valve cover and modified 123 ignition. And the weight is 1010 KG. This formula produced a powerful little racer that was much faster than the original with sporty loocs and an overall excellent performer. Some technical improvements 1 Front disc brakes, 2 Improved master cylinder, 3 Alternator, 4 Improved starter motor, 5 123 ignition, 6 Improved water pump, The example offered here, Chassis # BN1L222534 is indeed a Late rebuilt and genuine 1955 Le Mans Austin Haley100M. It has been verified by both the British Heritage Trust and Bill Meade's 100M register as such, and carries all its correct, matching and original numbers and vehicle identification number from the factory. Early history of this particular car which was delivered to a Düsseldorf car dealer. We do however know that it was produced on the 23rd December 1954 and was destined for Düsseldorf car dealer in Germany LHD. It was seen exactly as it is today in Healey Carmine Red and Black with red interior piping/Black top. It appears to have carried engine number 1B/222534-M when new from the factory, which it still has. By the mid 1990's we know that the car was in the hands of James J Yurasits, a renowned engineer born 30-11-1941 and 81 and fond of relaxing with his Austin Healey 100M engine and other related Marques, enjoyed this car in its present driver's state until about 1995 when a section of the bodywork was given a new coat of paint over the course of about 1 year. I am of course in possession of over a thousand photos and more, of the restoration of the Austin Healey 100M, and more photos of the original state and when it was loaded into the container, to be shipped to the Netherlands, a copy of all invoices included. Hoping to have given you a fantastic opportunity to experience the** Austin Healey 100M with La Mans Certificate from Bill Meade.** The most important thing is the experience behind the wheel, in which this little Healey hardly falls short. The car starts easily and once warm shows strong oil pressure between 40-60 pounds at all times. The cooling always stays in the middle of the range and would be hard to push to break 190. The clutch engages easily, as does selecting each gear. There is plenty of power available at all times, as these engines produce a lot of torque when needed. While in 3 and 4, the electric overdrive engages and disengages without any problems and the overall experience is trouble-free, whether in a tight corner or hard on the brakes. Overall, it is a wonderful place to be, especially with the windshield in its unique down position. It is only in recent years that the collector's focus has finally matured in shifting to the early 4-cylinder Healeys as the true basis of the company's early success and the focal point of interest in its great history. As the trend continues, these cars will prove to be some of the more important sports cars of the 1950s. These facts combined with the rarity of a genuine factory and later built and certified 100M "Le Mans" makes for a cocktail of incredible fun, class A investment potentia
