One of the most beautiful sports cars of the 50s and 60s, a sensual favourite in Pininfarina dress without ostentation, dolce vita for the road with racing genes. With the famous twin-camshaft four-cylinder engine, the ‘engine of the century’, which was further developed until the 1990s, here in its original form with 1300 cc.

The 101 series is considered to be technically much less problematic than its predecessor, the 750 series. Rare original version with screwed-on soft top frame and tarpaulin.

History:

Manufactured 19.12.60, sold via Lugano branch to merchant from zurich EZ 4.8.61

From 1996-2003, an uncompromising frame-off restoration was carried out in Switzerland down to the last detail, very true to the original using NOS parts still available at the time (with photo documentation)! Sold to a Dutchman in 2006, who travelled a full 4500 km in 10 years. Owned since 2016 with a further 8500 km mileage (current mileage 79,300 km). Since then, complete maintenance and servicing to maintain its excellent visual and technical condition.

Condition:

Body in top condition (all cavities preserved with anti-corrosion grease), high-quality paintwork in Alfa Bianco 008, very good gap dimensions, hardly any filler, front chrome parts (scudetto and ‘moustache’) applied without piping (as befits high-quality restorations).

Very good chrome parts, soft top as good as new, original tarpaulin, as is the interior, newly upholstered seats in the original design, overhauled instruments, control knobs etc.. New wiring harness.

Completely overhauled original engine, runs perfectly, compression and oil pressure top. Steering, brakes, chassis overhauled. Most recently replaced/repaired: front brakes/brake drums, alternator, high-performance starter, petrol pump, ignition coil, ignition cable, fuel tank sensor, brake pressure sensor for brake light, coolant thermostat, petrol hoses, rubber bearings for engine, cardan shaft, gearbox, intermediate steering lever,

Original 4-speed gearbox freshly overhauled (synchronisation)

TÜV 7/2026 (defect-free), mileage 79,300 km.

Rare original Pininfarina steel hardtop (no. 10803) incl. specially made stand (Note: the hardtop not only turns the Spider into a gorgeous little coupe visually, but also allows driving fun in the seasons when rain and cold are more likely to be expected, as the original fabric top does not offer complete weather protection due to its design. The large panoramic rear window also allows much more light into the cabin)
